We’re honored to welcome VBBP members.
Welcome to Navy Mutual!
As a Veterans Service Organization, we’re here to help.
Navy Mutual is the nation’s oldest Veterans Service Organization, serving servicemembers, veterans, and survivors since 1879.
Thank you for joining us from VBBP. You’ve indicated that you need help understanding benefits related to service. Navy Mutual’s accredited VSO representatives and educators can help you both understand what VA and DOD benefits may be available and apply for those benefits. Our accredited VSO Representatives can also assist veterans and their eligible beneficiaries with applications for survivor benefits and programs offered through the different branches of the VA such as the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) and National Cemetery Administration (NCA). These programs include but are not limited to disability benefits; pre-need eligibility for burial; Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC); survivors’ pension; and burial benefits.
Navy Mutual provides veterans services to honorably discharged veterans and their survivors free of charge.
Veterans Services
Navy Mutual is the nation’s oldest federally recognized Veterans Service Organization (VSO), and since our inception, we have made it our mission to assist members of the uniformed services, veterans, and their families in securing the benefits that service has earned them. In our role as a VSO, we assist claimants in navigating the claims process including from determining eligibility and submitting a claim up to and including the appeals process at the Board of Veterans Appeals. We can also provide referrals to other agencies and resources when necessary.
Survivor Benefits
We provide unbiased counseling and education to servicemembers upon their retirement regarding participation in the DOD Survivor Benefit Plan. At Navy Mutual, the surviving spouses and dependents of servicemembers also have access to a team of advocates whose mission is to help explain the military survivor benefits to which they may be entitled as a result of their loved one’s service. Depending on whether the deceased was actively serving or was a veteran, these benefits may come from the Department of Defense or the Department of Veterans Affairs.
