Navy Mutual is the nation’s oldest federally recognized Veterans Service Organization (VSO). As a VSO, we are authorized to represent and assist veterans and their beneficiaries in applying for and contesting benefit claims before the VA. Veterans of any branch of the U.S. uniformed services and their survivors are eligible for VSO services from Navy Mutual at no charge.
At Navy Mutual, our area of expertise pertains to survivor benefits such as Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC) and burial benefits. In addition, we advise Members on other benefits and programs offered through the VA, such as disability compensation and education benefits. We can help guide Members through the claims process and provide formal representation.

For several years, Navy Mutual employees and retirees have used a dental insurance plan provided by Ameritas, a large national insurance and financial service provider. Recently, Ameritas offered us the opportunity to give Navy Mutual Members and their families access to dental coverage under our group plan as well.
If you elect coverage, not only will you receive dental insurance to cover routine exams, cleanings, and fillings, you will also receive a $100 vision benefit each year to put toward covered vision expenses, including eye exams, frames, and lenses. Certain plans may also cover orthodontics, teeth whitening, dentures, and crowns.
Premiums are paid monthly and vary depending on the level of coverage chosen and the number of family members covered. Plans are subject to a 12-month commitment. Members can access this benefit by logging in to their Customer Portal account, going to “My Account” in the menu bar, and clicking “Special Offer” on the menu bar.
With MDLive TeleHealth, you can get professional medical help from the safety and comfort of your home. No matter when illness strikes, telehealth allows you to visit with a doctor using your smartphone, tablet, or computer at any time of the day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
Navy Mutual Members can take advantage of two free months of coverage for their families. Those who wish to continue coverage after the two-month period can expect to pay $8.99 per month for single subscribers and $9.99 per month for families. Members can access this benefit by logging in to their Customer Portal account, going to “My Account” in the menu bar, and clicking “Special Offer” on the menu bar.
Navy Mutual Vault
Storing your documents in a safe and secure location is at the heart of any emergency files plan or estate plan. To help you feel confident in your choice of location, we have made our own vault available for our Members to utilize. Stored in our facility, your files will be watched over and protected like they are our own – whether you need to store your DD-214, Last Will and Testament, power of attorney, or advance directives. The vault is maintained by the Navy Mutual Customer Service department, and representatives can be reached at 800-628-6011.
PODS Moving and Storage
Whether you are active duty, a retiree, or a veteran, moving and storage needs are a fact of life. With that in mind, Navy Mutual is thrilled to bring our Members a discount on moving and storage through PODS. No matter your military status, as a Navy Mutual Member, you are eligible for this benefit – and can save up to 10% on your rental needs.
