His expertise spans artificial intelligence, data and analytics, enterprise architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and technology modernization, with a focus on aligning technology investments with business strategy, operational resilience, and long-term organizational value.

Throughout his career, Varun has held senior technology leadership roles at National Life, Sun Life, Voya, and Broadridge. He brings extensive experience leading complex technology organizations, advancing enterprise capabilities, and building collaborative partnerships across business, technology, and risk management functions.

At Navy Mutual, Varun brings this experience to advancing AI and technology capabilities in support of the organization’s mission and the needs of its members. His leadership approach emphasizes purposeful innovation, sound governance, disciplined execution, and the responsible application of emerging technologies to deliver meaningful business outcomes.

Education

Varun holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering (Honors) from Nagpur University, India, a Master of Business Administration (MBA – Finance) from the University of Toronto, and is a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) candidate in AI and Data Sciences at The University of Texas at Dallas. His doctoral research focuses on the application of artificial intelligence and data-driven approaches to business challenges. He was selected for membership in Phi Kappa Phi in recognition of his academic achievement.
