Since 1999 the United States has observed May as Military Appreciation Month. This month and every month, we appreciate and honor the military community for their sacrifices and service. From all of us at Navy Mutual, we thank you for your loyalty, your service, and for the commitment you and your family made on our behalf.

“Word to the Nation: Guard zealously your right to serve in the Armed Forces, for without them, there will be no other rights to guard.”

— President John F. Kennedy

This May we have entered unchartered territory with stay at home orders across the country. The general sense of uncertainty is especially true for our military families, many of whom find themselves in limbo between PCS moves. If you’re a military family in need of tips and resources, Military OneSource has compiled an excellent list. For more military COVID-19 resources, visit our COVID-19 update page.

How can you show your appreciation this month?

Operation Gratitude is currently providing direct support to COVID-19 first responders, as well as continuing their mission to lift the spirits of military members. They collect letters of gratitude to servicemembers year round, you can learn more about this program here on their website.

At Navy Mutual our mission is to provide military servicemembers with high-quality low-cost life insurance and annuities, as well as educate the military community at large on matters of financial security. If you’d like to schedule a virtual consult, at no cost, please email us at counselor@navymutual.org or click here.
