Michael J. Williams

Career assignments:  Commissioned 1967, designated Naval Aviator; operational tours in the United States, Vietnam, and Okinawa; commanded Marine Helicopter Training Squadron 301 and Marine Aircraft Group 26; general officer, commanded the 2d Force Service Support Group, Joint Task Force 160, and the Marine Corps Systems Command; staff assignments, Director of the Marine Corps Staff and Deputy Commandant for Programs and Resources; and Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps, retired 2002.  Williams served as Senior Fellow, National Defense University, Chairman of the Board of Advisors, National Military Family Association, and is currently an independent consultant.

Education: B.S., U.S. Naval Academy; Master’s degrees from University of Southern California and the College of Naval Warfare.
