Get Your Tax Return Done At No Cost!

Tax season is here and the filing deadline is rapidly approaching. It’s time to prepare your documents and paperwork.

Keep in mind there are also organizations that will help you process your tax returns for no charge at all. One that tops our list is AARP Tax Aide. It is the largest free tax preparer in the country and is a partner of the IRS.

AARP provides free income tax return preparation and filing.  There is no age or income limit, and they can prepare most returns, with a few exceptions.

This service can save taxpayers an average of $150 over a paid tax preparer.  Returns are filed electronically and refunds can be directly deposited into bank accounts in 5-7 days.  Taxpayers can find a convenient location by going to www.aarp.org/taxaide. Some sites also take appointments.

As well as a great service, this is also a great volunteer opportunity for those who have mastered necessary skills in the dreaded tax field.  All volunteers receive about 40 hours of training and are certified by the IRS. You can find more information about volunteering at www.aarp.org/taxaide.
